After being found as a stray puppy, Rose spent over 100 days in the shelter and kept getting passed up because she was energetic. Eventually, she found herself on the euthanasia list at only 8 months old. We were alerted to this girl and were able to secure a foster home for her.
Rose has personality for days. She doesn't know her own size and is set in her head that she is a lap dog. Yes, she will full lay in your lap without a care in the world. Rose also LOVES to play fetch. She may not be the best at bringing the ball back but she sure does love to chase it. And tug-o-war? Oh yeah! She loves playing that game with her foster sister and the dogs at her daycare.
Speaking of other dogs, Rose is incredibly dog friendly. She is continually socialized with dogs of different sizes and energy levels at daycare and has never met a pup she hasn't tried to befriend. She is also very people friendly with both men and women and is child friendly.
Don't let Rose's size fool you, she is still very much a young pup with the energy to go with it but she also LOVES a good cuddle on the couch. If you're a "no dogs on the furniture" family, Rose would not be the right choice for you; she's a couch hog and a cuddle queen. Rose is crate trained, potty trained, and knows a few commands. She's an eager learner and would do great in a training setting for additional command training and bonding.
We can't say enough great things about Rose and how wonderful of a dog she is. She has never been cat tested but she is a hunter and loves to chase, so it's a bit of a challenge to know if she could live with or around cats. Rose also had a horrible case of Giardia when she got out of the shelter that has now left her with a sensitive stomach. She has to be on sensitive stomach food (not prescription)
Please consider opening up your heart and home to this beautiful girl. She has so much love to give!
